Privacy policy

This policy explains what data ytamp3.com processes, why, and for how long. Last updated: 6 October 2026.

The details in brackets belong to the controller and must be replaced with the real ones before the site is offered to the public. This text describes how YTA MP3 works today. It is not legal advice.

Controller

The controller is [NOMBRE O RAZÓN SOCIAL DEL RESPONSABLE], with address [DOMICILIO FISCAL] and tax ID [NIF O CIF]. For privacy, write to admin@ytamp3.com. For general questions, use admin@ytamp3.com. The site is ytamp3.com.

What the site does

YTA MP3 has two tools. The first recognises a public YouTube link, requests the public video details, and shows the official player. The second converts to MP3 a file you upload and are allowed to use. You do not need an account. We do not ask for your YouTube or Google password.

Data we process

  • Contact form: name, email, reason, and message, because you send them so we can reply.
  • IP address and technical request data, only in server memory and for a few minutes, to limit abuse. We do not keep a browsing history.
  • The YouTube video ID taken from the link. We use it to request the title, channel, thumbnail, and duration, and to show the official player.
  • The file you choose to convert: name, size, type, and the file itself, because they are needed to create the MP3. Also the quality you select.
  • We do not sell personal data and we do not use this data for advertising.

Purpose and legal basis

  • To provide the video lookup and the conversion you request: GDPR Article 6(1)(b), because it is the service you ask for.
  • To reply to the form: GDPR Article 6(1)(b).
  • To limit abuse and keep the site available: GDPR Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interest in security. You can object where your particular situation justifies it.
  • To meet a legal duty, for example a request from an authority: GDPR Article 6(1)(c).

YouTube API Services

Video lookup uses YouTube API Services from Google. The server requests public video data. You do not sign in to YTA MP3 with a Google account. The official player is loaded from YouTube and may process data under the Google Privacy Policy. Use of YouTube is also covered by the YouTube Terms of Service.

We show the title, channel, and thumbnail as YouTube returns them. We do not rewrite them and we do not build a profile of you from them. We do not keep a video library. If the site ever asked for permission on your Google account, you could withdraw it in your Google Account permissions.

Who else processes the data

  • CloudConvert converts the file you upload. The file leaves your browser, passes through our server, and CloudConvert processes it to return a temporary MP3. Their information is in the CloudConvert privacy policy.
  • Google and YouTube process the video lookup and what happens inside the official player.
  • The site’s hosting provider processes technical connection data as a processor. The controller will name that provider on this page when the hosting contract is in place.
  • We do not pass data to advertisers and we do not sell it.

International transfers

Google and CloudConvert may process data inside or outside the European Economic Area. Where the destination has no adequacy decision, the processing relies on the safeguards those providers publish, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We do not make other transfers on our own.

Retention

  • The IP used to limit abuse is deleted when the period expires, usually within minutes.
  • The YouTube link and video details are used to answer that visit. We do not archive them as a search history.
  • The uploaded file and the resulting MP3 are not kept as a library on YTA MP3. Download the MP3 within the time shown on the page. CloudConvert may keep the job for the time its own policy needs to finish the conversion.
  • Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to reply and, if necessary, to handle a complaint. The controller will set the exact period when publishing its details.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where it applies, portability. Write to admin@ytamp3.com and say which right you are using. We will reply within one month, unless the law allows an extension. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency: aepd.es.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 14. We do not ask for age and we do not create profiles. If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent us data, they can ask for deletion at admin@ytamp3.com.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the conversion service and to YouTube is made from the server, with keys that are not published on the page. No system is perfect: do not send passwords or documents through the form unless they are needed for the question.

Changes

If the processing changes, we will publish the new version on this page and show the date. Cookies are explained in the cookie policy.
